The Social Media Monster

Most blog writers maintain social media sites, and I'm wondering if I should do the same (beyond just the occasional dabbling). My main reason for balking is because I don't know if I would have the bandwidth to keep it up besides have new blog posts show up automatically. But a lot of people use Facebook and Twitter to get blog update notifications, instead of email or RSS feeds. What do you think?

Question:
Should I get more serious about social media? If so, which one do you prefer?

It can be overwhelming indeed! I like that twitter updates on my blog and that the twitter posts have unique content, hard to keep up with at times though. I'm still learning so much! Maybe try some out and see what you like best?

It can't hurt....

As long as you keep up your creating. I don't like twitter and the plethora out there, but at the same time, if I want to share something, it's a great way to share.

It would be like having show-and-tell as a kiddo and only sharing it with half the class. Why not expand the reach?

My two cents ;-)

Sounds like it's worth it to you two, so I guess I'll continue give it a shot. Thanks for the input!
